Welcome to Workamping at Brookdale Family Campground!
We have summer season Workamping, Workamper, or Work Camping or work camper opportunities for RV'ers in NW PA! No matter how you spell it, if you're looking for a family-oriented workamping or workamper experience in Western PA at a top rated, award-winning campground, for the summer season, then we're looking for you!
We are seeking employees who are self-starters, people-oriented, kid and pet-friendly, and who can work independently (i.e. self-managed) who are willing to commit to us for the summer season (5-6 months). Actively employed or retired teachers is a plus.
We are currently looking for Workampers in House Keeping for two restroom and shower facilities and 4 cabins. We will fill in your hours (up to 40) with some light Maintenance (for him) and Store/Office Clerk (for her) duties. If you are interested, please contact us!
House Keeping would be the primary duty which includes cleaning restrooms & shower houses, cabins, cleaning store & game room, etc. (Other maintenance on shower houses, bathrooms, & cabins as needed).
Clerk Duties includes camper check-in & check-outs, taking phone & internet reservations via Campground Manager Computer Program, taking messages, stocking shelves, clerking in a convenience store type atmosphere, bagging ice, cleaning store, checking restrooms, assisting with weekend events, dinners, etc.
Maintenance includes some cleaning, minor repairs, changing lights, pool maintenance, setting up and cleaning up events, etc.
Couples work pre-determined number of hours per week for their campsite and then we pay an hourly rate for all extra hours worked. We also provide a monthly electric allowance, propane, groceries, and camping supplies at a discount. We will provide detailed descriptions upon application.
Our Workamper campsites are extra large and have phone and TV cable hook-ups available, but the service charges are at the Workamper's expense (Verizon cell service is not available in our park). Free WIFI hotspot is available at the main building. They are located on a quiet cul-de-sac street in the park, so you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the park on your days off.
