May 8 - Mother's Day Weekend!  Come compete in the Brookdale Powder Puff 500 Mini Auto Race

(for ladies only!  Race a stock, 2 oz. or under Matchbox type car).  Let's cook mom dinner!  You bring 

enough dry spaghetti and sauce to feed your family, and we do the cooking so mom doesn't have to!  

We'll supply the meat for the sauce, the bread, butter, and drinks too!    

May 15 - It's Customer Appreciation (BOGO) Weekend!  It’s our way of saying thank you for 

camping at Brookdale!  First time campers get Sat. night free when they buy Friday night!  Or, if you’re 

a Brookdale regular, bring another family who has never camped at Brookdale before, and both families 

get one night free when they buy one night.  “The Sonlight Puppet Show” will be here to entertain! 

(Our BOGO offer does not apply to cabins & clubs!) 

May 22 - 3rd Annual Car Show Weekend!  Cruise-in to our Car Show with your classic, hot rod, truck, 

or sport compact and compete to win a trophy!  Click on our Car Show link to register online!  Or visit 

our Car Show Results page to see the cars and winners from last year's show!  All aboard!  The Brookdale

Express will be running for all children under 48” tall!  

May 29-30 - Memorial Day Weekend!  Family fun all weekend!  Our pool opens (weather permitting), 

campsite yard sales, BINGO, horseshoe tournament, & more!  We’re painting patriotic t-shirts!  We’ll 

have white BFC t-shirts available to buy! Saturday, we’re having “The Birds Of Prey Show!” with 

falcons, hawks, golden eagles and more!  Shhh, don't tell the kids, but it's an educational nature show!  

Sunday night is “Helen Hammett’s Ventriloquist Show!”  You won’t want to miss the fun!  (* 3 night minimum)       

June Events

June 5 – The Tin Can Tourists Vintage Trailer Show!  We’ll have this 

one time, only event and an RV show stuff for the kids, and much more!     

The Tin Can Tour Vintage Trailers show is free to all campers, but admission for the general public is $4.00/adult, $2.00/child, and children under 5 free!

June 12 – Juggler’s Weekend!  So, you've always wanted to learn to juggle!  here's your chance to 

learn to juggle at Geoff Bach's Juggler’s workshop, and then let him entertain you at his show!  Don’t 

miss all the fun!  All aboard!  The Brookdale Express will be running for all children under 48” tall!   

June 19 - Father's Day Weekend!  Brookdale 500 Mini Auto Race (for guys only!  Race a stock, 2 oz. 

or under Matchbox type car).  Father & child Bean Bag Tournament.  We'll have Smith’s Hotdogs 

& potluck dinner!  Bring a tureen side dish or dessert to share!  The Thurston Classic Hot Air Balloon 

Festival is Thursday night - Sunday!

June 26 – Death by Chocolate Weekend! You're going to think you've died and gone to heaven!  We'll 

have Candy Bar BINGO, free chocolate ice cream sundaes, and an after-dark flashlight chocolate hunt!  

It’s heavenly!   

July Events

* July 3-4 – Independence Holiday Weekend!  Kid’s Olympics (with medals), BINGO, day & night 

patriotic campsite decorating contests, our annual fishing contest, kid's patriotic bicycle parade, canoe 

races, & more!  Saturday we’ll have “Dr. Insecta” here to teach you about the largest insects on the 

planet!  Shhh, don't tell the kids, but it's an educational nature show!  Sunday night we’re having 

“Brookdale’s Got Talent!”  You’re the performer… sing, juggle, dance, etc. to win Ducky Dollars! 

(* 3 night minimum)  

July 10 – Discount & BINGO Weekend!  Save 10% on your camping this weekend!  We’ll have Family

BINGO & Adult BINGO!  Don’t miss all the BINGO fun!  Local Amish School Benefit Auction! 

$ July 17 - Thanksgiving In July!  ($ Fee for food is charged.)  We roast 12 turkeys and supply the 

mashed potatoes, vegetables, gravy, and pumpkin pies... You bring the trimmings (tureen side dishes).  

Delicious!  Advance reservations for the meal are required.  ($ Fee for food is charged.)  The 

Saegertown Steam and Gas Engine Show!  

July 24 - Wet-N-Wacky Weekend!  We are playing water games galore at our award-winning event!  

We start the day with alligator wrestling for younger kids! Then we will have water bomb slingshot  

contest, water balloon volleyball, and a water gun battle for teens and adults, and more!  We will also 

have our award winning annual firemen water barrel battles!  You get to be a fireman for the day and 

battle against the East Mead Fire Company!  

July 31 – BINGO, BINGO, BINGO Weekend!  We will have candy bar BINGO for kids, family BINGO for 

everyone, and adults BINGO (with bigger payouts!).  We have specials at every game, door prizes, and 

more!  All aboard!  The Brookdale Express will be running for all children under 48” tall!  It’s a fun-filled 

weekend for kid’s and adults!  

August Events

August 7 - Annual Corn Roast!  We roast 1200 ears of corn just for you!  And the sweetest part 

is... it's free!  All you have to do is come camp, husk, and eat our locally grown sweet corn! 

August 14 – Pirate’s Treasure Weekend!  Ahoy me hearties!  We’ll have sea worthy activities for 

scallywags of all ages as we have pirate crafts, have Cap’n Kid’s Pirate Show, a treasure hunt (geo 

cashing), & more!  All aboard!  The Brookdale Express will be running for all children under 48” tall!    

August 21 – Hillbilly Games Weekend!  We're panning for gold, then we’re having a hillbilly horseshoe  tournament, a watermelon seed spittin ' contest, & more!  The Crawford County Fair starts.

August 28 – Jungle Terry is back!  Get ready to get up close and personal with spiders, snakes, 

alligators, turtles, and more!  It’s a hands-on animal show for kids of all ages!  Shhh, don't tell the 

kids, but it's an educational nature show!  All aboard!  The Brookdale Express will be running for all 

children under 48” tall!      

September Events

* Sep 4-5- Labor Day Weekend!  Brookdale 500 Jr. – A Mini Auto Race for Kids & Teens!  Kids, bring 

your stock MatchboxÔ type car (max. weight 2 oz. to race in the Brookdale 500).  We 'll have family 

BINGO, and more!  Saturday we’ll have “Illusionist Cliff Hopkins” is here!  Sunday night is the 

Annual Lip Synch Contest!  Compete for a trophy!  You supply the CD and costume!  (* 3 night minimum)

+ September 11 – Discount & BINGO Weekend!  Save 10% on your camping this weekend!  We’ll have 

Family BINGO & Adult BINGO!  Don’t miss all the BINGO fun!   

+ September 18 – Haunted Pumpkin Fest! – We’ll carve pumpkins, and then enjoy roasted pumpkin 

seeds, pumpkin cake, and pumpkin ice cream and apple cider!  We'll have a daytime pumpkin themed 

campsite decorating contest!  Then later, tour our “Dungeon of Death” Haunted Event!  It’ll scare the 

spooks out of you!  (This event is scary and may not be suitable for young children.)  Check out our

+ * September 25 – Halloween Weekend!  Trick or Treating, day and night campsite decorating  

contests, costume contest (prizes for outstanding costumes of all ages), apple cider, donuts, and a 

Sunday morning free all you can eat pancake breakfast! ($3.00/person charge for visitor’s breakfast).

October Events

+ Oct 2 – Just Desserts Weekend!  Save 10% off our already low fall camping rates!  Clubs of 10 or 

more units save 15%!  Bring your favorite dessert to share to our Brookdale version of a potluck, only 

it's just desserts!  We’ll supply the coffee and table service at a great, end of the season social gathering 

where you get your just desserts!  All aboard!  The Brookdale Express will be running for all children 

under 48” tall!  This is Franklin Applefestâ Weekend!  

+ October 9 – Special Discount & Club Weekend.  Save 10%!  Clubs of 10 or more units save 15%!  

Note: Fall Foliage is usually at its peak!  The Fall Saegertown Steam and Gas Engine Show is this 

weekend!    

+ October 16 - Special Discount & Club Weekend.  Save 10% on our last camping weekend!
